On March 18th, our college held the Career Guidance Meeting to the 2023 Safety Engineering Udergraduates. The Dean Wang Yuan, Vice Dean Yu Xiaodong, Director of the Department of Safety Engineering Sun Xiao, Supervisor of Class 1 in Safety Engineering Jiang Sheng, and Counselor Shuai Yuting attended the meeting. All students of Class 1 of Safety Engineering in 2023 attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Dean Wang Yuan expressed warm condolences to her classmates, cared about their learning and living conditions at school, and carefully answered their questions. Dean Wang Yuan's philosophy of doing something, not doing something inspires students to actively learn and hone their ambition to serve the country through water conservancy. The second is to adhere to innovation leadership and always maintain the sincerity of scientific research. The third is to strengthen mission responsibility and abide by the responsibility of our country. She stated that as the first profession in the industry with water safety as its characteristic, the safety engineering major aims to cultivate high-quality specialized safety workers. In the future, it needs to serve major national strategies and devote itself to the forefront of water conservancy industry development. She encourages her classmates to actively think about problems, pay attention to the industry, and take the initiative to intern and practice, demonstrating the new responsibilities and achievements of hydropower students in the new era.
